En cuanto al control fronterizo, cabe señalar que a la Superintendencia de Administración Tributaria (SAT), conforme a su Ley Orgánica contenida en el Decreto Número 1-98 del Congreso de la República, le corresponde la administración del sistema aduanero de la República de conformidad con el Código Aduanero Uniforme Centroamericano (CAUCA) y su reglamento (RECAUCA).
